For generations, the words of Jesus have been printed in red as a way of setting his voice apart on the page. Not because the ink itself is sacred, but because what our rabbi said deserves our attention.
His words are not meant to be skimmed, collected, or left at the level of agreement. They are meant to be returned to, wrestled with, practiced, and carried into the ordinary places of our lives.
So we slow down. We listen closely. We make room for his words to challenge our assumptions, expose what is shaping us, and reorient the way we see God, ourselves, and the world around us.
Because over time, the words we stay with become the words that form us.

The words of Jesus are not always easy, comfortable, or quick to understand—and that is exactly why they are worth staying with.
They invite us to slow down, ask better questions, confront our assumptions, and wrestle honestly with what we believe. Not so we can arrive at neat answers, but so his words can keep working on us.
Because the words we return to, sit with, and take seriously are the words that begin to shape who we are becoming.
